Kansas football coach David Beaty continued his last-minute recruiting scramble Monday, landing two more verbal commitments in the 2015 class, according to Rivals.com.

Beaty, who was officially announced as Kansas’ head coach last Monday, received five verbal commitments over the weekend.

The latest additions to the 2015 class: Chase Harrell, a two-star receiver from Huffman, Texas, and junior college running back Ke’aun Kinner of Navarro Junior College in Corsicana, Texas.

Harrell, a 6-foot-4 receiver, also drew interest from Houston and Kentucky, according to Rivals.

Kinner rushed for 1,696 yards with 22 touchdowns this last season and is expected to sign on Wednesday during the early junior-college signing day. He should add to a backfield decimated by injuries last season. The Jayhawks will return running backs De’Andre Mann, who will be a senior, and Corey Avery, who showed promise during his freshman campaign.
