Kansas men’s basketball is beginning to fill out its roster.

Former Toledo guard Leroy Blyden Jr. will transfer to Kansas, his agents Rob Murphy and Brandon Grier confirmed to The Star on Monday morning.

Blyden visited Lawrence this past weekend, and Murphy said the visit went well. As a freshman, he averaged 16.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game while shooting 46.7% from the field. The 6-foot-1 guard also shot 40.7% on 3-pointers.

Blyden has three seasons of eligibility remaining. He was named MAC Freshman of the Year and to the all-conference third team with the Rockets during the 2025-26 season.

The Jayhawks’ roster still has seven roster spots remaining. Blyden is KU’s second transfer portal commitment, following former Utah forward Keanu Dawes late last week.

Currently, Kohl Rosario is the only confirmed returning KU player. That said, sources have told The Star that big man Paul Mbiya is still weighing a return to the Jayhawks.

Mbiya has yet to enter the transfer portal despite announcing his intentions to do so shortly after the portal opened. The transfer portal closes Tuesday.
