After one season with Kansas basketball, AJ Storr will transfer to SEC school
Former Kansas Jayhawks guard AJ Storr has found a new home.
Early Tuesday afternoon, Storr confirmed to The Star he will transfer to Ole Miss. He has one season of eligibility remaining.
The former Wisconsin standout transferred to Kansas before last season. He was expected to be a star in Lawrence — as the team’s top-rated transfer and a top-5 transfer prospect — but never lived up to expectations.
He averaged 6.1 points while shooting 38.4% from the field, including 29.1% on 3-pointers in the 2024-25 season. It was a steep decline from when he averaged 16.8 points per game for the Badgers in the 2023-24 season.
Storr began his college playing career at St. John’s. Ole Miss will be his fourth school in four seasons.
KU had five players with eligibility remaining who entered the portal: Zach Clemence, Rakease Passmore, David “Diggy” Coit, AJ Storr and Rylan Griffen. Coit announced a transfer to Maryland last Tuesday and Clemence announced his destination Sunday.
