The Jayhawks (3-6, 2-4 Big 12) are coming off a big win against Iowa State. Their next task is a daunting one, however, as they take on the 9-0 Cougars at what’s sure to be a loud LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Kansas game prediction
The stakes for this one are pretty big.
KU needs a win to keep alive its hopes of returning to a bowl game, while BYU is in the mix for a Big 12 championship and berth in the College Football Playoff.
For the Jayhawks to win this game, they probably need to score 30-plus points and not turn over the ball. The offense may have finally found its stride, and if so, that will help.
Issues remain on the defensive side, however, where KU just hasn’t had any consistency whatsoever this season. There’s a good chance Cougars QB Jake Retzlaff will gash KU’s pass defense with his passing ability on Saturday.
For the Jayhawks to win this game, especially in a late-evening showdown at rowdy Provo, they must limit their mistakes and outscore their hosts. I just don’t see that happening.
