About Washburn

Washburn head coach Brett Ballard, a 2003 KU graduate, is 137-75 in eight seasons at the Topeka school. Ballard spent seven years on Bill Self’s coaching staff at KU. He was the director of basketball operations for his final two seasons on staff. He served as administrative assistant/video coordinator for four years and a volunteer student assistant for one year. … Ballard played for the Jayhawks two seasons, participating in 24 games in 2000-01 and 32 games in 2001-02. … Ballard’s Ichabods are 0-2 versus KU in exhibition games. …
