Two Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball players net invitations to G League Elite camp
Kansas’ Jalen Wilson and David McCormack are two of 44 NBA prospects who will participate in the NBA G League Elite Camp on May 16-17 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, the NBA announced Monday.
Wilson, a 6-foot-8 forward from Denton, Texas, is in the process of deciding whether to keep his name in the June 23 NBA Draft or withdraw by June 1 and return to KU for a redshirt junior season. He also attended the G League Elite camp last year before ultimately electing to return to KU. He was a starter on the Jayhawks’ 2022 NCAA title team.
McCormack, a 6-10 forward from Norfolk, Virginia, played four seasons at KU and has indicated he is starting his pro career rather than playing a super senior season at KU.
The G League camp gives players a chance to participate in 5-on-5 games and individual drills in front of NBA and G League scouts, coaches and front office personnel.
Top performers at G League camp can earn invitations to the NBA Draft Combine, set for May 18-22 in Chicago. Christian Braun and Ochai Agbaji have received NBA Combine invitations.
