Here’s where to get Kansas basketball championship shirts and gear around KC
It’s T-shirt time, Jayhawks fans.
Kansas’ men’s basketball team finished the mission and brought Lawrence its fourth NCAA national title. KU defeated North Carolina 72-69 on Monday in an instant classic.
Before KU’s parade, make sure you’re dressed properly. Stores around Kansas City and Lawrence already have their championship gear in, and if you haven’t done so already, now’s your time to get some.
Here’s where you can get your hands on KU’s championship merchandise in person or online.
ACADEMY SPORTS + OUTDOORS
The locations in Liberty, Olathe and Overland Park have championship gear on their merchandise floor now, along with the option to purchase can coolers, flags and lanyards online, among other things.
CHARLIE HUSTLE
The banner on the website says “Rock Chalk Champions” and you can get special merchandise from the local clothing store here. They have eight new designs to commemorate KU’s victory over the Tar Heels.
DICK’S SPORTING GOODS
The first thing you see when you go to Dick’s Sporting Goods’ website is a banner congratulating the Jayhawks on their victory. Their stores are spread out across the region, so find your closest store here. You can also order shirts, hats and more online here.
FANATICS
Fanatics and its many alternate names — such as Lids and Locker Room — have shirts, hoodies, socks, plaques and more available for order now. Order everything here.
KU BOOKSTORE
It’s more than just a store for students to get their school materials. They also have championship gear available online and in-store, including The Daily Kansan’s special edition.
MADE IN KC
Although it’s not officially licensed merchandise, Made in KC has a commemorative “Champs” t-shirt available now.
RALLY HOUSE
There are plenty of Rally House locations in the Kansas City and Lawrence areas, so don’t panic if you can’t get what you want right away. Find your closest store here or order your gear online.
RAYGUN
The local t-shirt company has a “Kansas City Jayhawks” t-shirt available, based on NCAA president Mark Emmert calling KU that before awarding the team with the trophy. Like Made in KC, this isn’t official championship gear, but it honors a moment that will be tied to the team forever.
