With most of their work completed for the 2020 recruiting cycle, Kansas State football coaches continue to make progress with high school prospects that will wear college uniforms in 2021.

Jayden Williams, a 6-foot-1 and 198-pound running back from West Des Moines, Iowa, announced his intentions to play for the Wildcats with a lunchtime post on social media.

Williams chose K-State over scholarship offers from Northern Iowa and Northern Illinois, but he has received recruiting interest from Iowa, Iowa State and Nebraska.

He currently plays running back for Valley High School and has shown burst on his highlight video. But he may play a different position for the Wildcats, as he has the athleticsm to line up at multiple spots on the football field.

Williams committed to K-State after making a recruiting visit to campus earlier this week.

He is the fifth known member of K-State’s 2021 recruiting class, joining defensive back Dorian Stephens, athlete Davonte Pritchard, offensive lineman Noah Bolticoff, and four-star quarterback Jake Rubley.

The Wildcats signed 23 recruits for its class of 2020 on early signing day in December.
