The Kansas City Mavericks played a special Tuesday morning home game against the Tulsa Oilers at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, losing 3-1.

Here what’s going on with the Mavericks this week.

Recap of recent games

Kansas City played host to Tulsa in a “Mavs in the Morning” game. Lane Scheidl scored the Mavs’ goal to tie it in the second period before the Oilers scored two more to put it away.

Last Friday, the Mavs lost at Tulsa, also by a 3-1 score. On Saturday, they beat the Allen Americans 7-4.

Upcoming

The Mavericks head to Utah on Friday for a three-game series against the Grizzlies this weekend, with games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The next Mavericks home game is on Black Friday — Nov. 26. The Salvation Army will be kicking off its red kettle drive at Cable Dahmer Arena that evening. Kids wearing their youth sports T-shirt or jersey will receive a free ticket to the game at the box office.
