Third baseman Michael Antonio hit a two-run homer in the first inning Thursday and Class A Lexington beat Asheville 5-3.
Antonio went three for three and is batting .313 for the season. He also walked once. Right fielder Elier Hernandez had two hits, including a solo homer, and two RBIs.
In his eight innings of work, Jake Junis, 3-2, allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and one walk with five strikeouts and his ERA dropped to 3.19. The right-hander has won his last two starts.Other games
•Aroni Nina faced five batters in the eighth inning and they all scored in a seven-run inning as Class A-Advanced Wilmington lost 9-2 to Lynchburg. Starter Jonathan Dziedzic, 3-2, allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits in six innings. He struck out two and walked none. Nina relieved with the Blue Rocks down 2-1, and he pitched a perfect seventh before the wheels came off in the eighth inning. He walked three, hit a batter and gave up a hit. A passed ball and wild pitch didn’t help matters. Zeb Sneed came in with two runs in and the bases loaded. • Three errors led to five unearned runs and Class AA Northwest Arkansas lost 11-2 to Springfield. StarterTim Melville, 1-2, allowed five runs (three earned) on six hits in four innings. He walked four and struck out three. Noel Arguelles gave up five runs (two earned) on three hits and a walk in one inning. Arguelles has allowed at least one run in all nine of his appearances, and has a 12.46 ERA. First baseman Mark Threlkeld had two hits and two RBIs. Whit Merrifield

• Class AAA Omaha’s game at Round Rock, Texas, was suspended in the third inning with the scored tied 1-1. According to the Storm Chasers, the game will be completed to a full nine innings when the Storm Chasers return on June 1.
