Danny Duffy to start for Royals on Saturday against Reds

Danny Duffy will start for the Royals on Saturday’s spring training-game against the Reds, manager Ned Yost said. John Lamb will follow Duffy.

Yost has doled out his pitching schedule in morsels, not big chunks. The order will begin to make more sense as the season approaches.

Yordano Ventura will start on Friday against the Indians in Goodyear. Jason Vargas is slated to throw a session of live batting practice on Wednesday morning as the Cactus League opens.

Aaron Brooks will start the opener against Texas on Wednesday. Brian Flynn starts on Thursday.
