These Kansas City metro schools, government services closed Dec. 2 due to snow

Kansas City’s first snowstorm blew through the area Monday, leaving roads covered or partly covered in snow across the metro.

Preliminary reports indicate areas in the metro received anywhere from around 1 to 5 inches of snow throughout the day, according to a snowfall report from the National Weather Service. In many areas, crews continued to work overnight to remove snow from roadways.

Below is a list of schools that have announced closures, delayed starts, alternative methods of instruction (AMI) virtual learning days for Tuesday. The Star will update this list as information comes available.
