Kansas City to see highs in the 60s this weekend with a warm up on the way next week

The work week will end with nice weather with just a few clouds floating by, according to FOX4 meteorologist Karli Ritter.

Friday’s high is expected to be 64 degrees.

“Heading into the weekend — a different story,” said Ritter, who provided a weather update for The Star.

Saturday morning will be cloudy and some areas will get rain.

But by the lunch hour, rain should shift to the south and the east of Kansas City.

“It actually should turn out pretty nicely that most of your weekend will not be impacted,” Ritter said. “In fact, Sunday looks fantastic for the Chiefs game.”

Sunday’s forecast high is 63. The Chiefs play the New England Patriots at Arrowhead Stadium. Kickoff is 3:25 p.m.

“The heat builds next week with sunshine,” Ritter said.

Monday’s high is expected to be 75 and Tuesday’s forecast is slightly warmer at 78.
