First day of fall in Kansas City to feel seasonal with highs in the mid-70s

The temperature on the first day of fall will be seasonal with highs in the mid-70s, according to FOX4 meteorologist Garry Frank.

“That’s right about average,” said Frank, who provided The Star with a weather update.

“The weather’s not going to be a nuisance at all.”

A front moves towards Kansas City on Saturday, but it may not bring much rain.

“This is our best chance for rain over the next seven days and it’s not all that great,” Frank said. “As it looks at this point, it’s going to be moving through pretty quickly.”

The temperature will reach into the mid-80s on Friday and Saturday, but a “more fall feeling” returns early next week with highs in the 70s, he said.
