Last full day of summer in Kansas City will have ample sunshine, highs in the 70s
The last full day of summer in Kansas City will have ample sunshine and cool temperatures, according to FOX4 meteorologist Karli Ritter.
“Minus just a few clouds, it’s going to be a beautiful start for the day” on Monday, said Ritter, who provides weather updates to The Star.
“We’re expecting ample sunshine, temperatures climbing up into the 70s and it’s going to be very comfortable.”
The seasons switch over to fall officially on Tuesday and it will feel fall-like with temperatures in the middle to upper 70s expected throughout the week.
“Toward the tail end of the week and the weekend, we will introduce some 80s but maybe even a little bit of rain late Saturday night into early Sunday morning,” Ritter said.
The National Weather Service in Kansas City said remnants of Tropical Storm Beta is expected to bring cloud cover to the metro Tuesday.
Smoke from the wildfires out west will remain across the region, causing some hazy conditions and minor impact to air quality, the weather service said.
