Sunday is sunny and breezy in Kansas City with another week of mild weather ahead

Beautiful weather will likely continue through next week across Kansas City, according to FOX4 meteorologist Alex Countee.

“Moving throughout the next four days you still have a lot of opportunities to get outside and enjoy the upper 70s and then possibly some low 80s,” said Countee, who provides weather updates to The Star.

Sunday’s high is expected to reach 75 degrees mid-afternoon, he said. A breeze may pick up around that same time, coming out of the southeast at about 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Some clouds are possible Tuesday and Wednesday as Tropical Storm Beta moves north out of the Gulf of Mexico, Countee said, though no rain is certain yet.

The first day of autumn officially kicks off Tuesday, with a high temperature of 78 and a low of 58.

“The first couple days of fall could be a little bit cloudy,” Countee said. “Afterwards, for the late week and into the weekend, it’s looking really nice as we get back to some sunny skies and the 80s are coming back to the forecast as well.”
