‘Weather is great’ as Kansas City is about to enter the first days of fall
Weather conditions will continue to be pleasant in the Kansas City area as the seasons are about to switch from summer to fall, said FOX4 meteorologist Garry Frank.
“The weather is not going to be a nuisance at all,” said Frank, who provides weather updates to The Star.
“Wednesday will at least entertain the thought of maybe a chance for rain, otherwise weather is great not only Sunday but beyond.”
The possibility of rain is tied to the path of the remnants of Tropical Storm Beta, which was nearly stationary in the northwestern part of the Gulf of Mexico Saturday night.
“Will we see some rain develop ahead of that?” Frank asked. “I still think it’s going to miss us.. ... I think we get some cloud cover that may knock a few degrees off our temps.”
Highs on Sunday and headed through next week will hover around 80 degrees.
“The first day of fall is officially 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday,” Frank said. “It’s not going to feel very much like it as we’re going to be in the low 80s. But it’s dry and pleasant in the morning.”
The National Weather Service in Kansas City said smoke from the wildfires out west remain across the region, which will continue to cause hazy conditions and minor impacts to air quality on Sunday.
