Nice stretch of weather settles into Kansas City as ample sunshine, no rain likely
A nice stretch of weather will settle across the Kansas City metro area as no “nuisance weather” is likely through most of the week, said FOX4 meteorologist Karli Ritter.
“Later on today we are expecting our temps to climb up close to 80 degrees,” said Ritter, who provides weather updates to The Star. “We should have ample sunshine and a very nice forecast through the day.”
The beautiful late-summer weather won’t be short lived either.
“The nice weather? It actually sticks around all the way through Thursday, if not longer,” Ritter said. “So if you want to get outside and do anything outdoors, including mowing, the ground has probably dried out enough from last week’s rains that it should be fine.”
The weather looks it will even cooperate with those who want to procrastinate on the outdoor chore.
Temperatures throughout the week and into the weekend are expected to be in the 70s and 80s, which is about normal for this time of year in the metro area, she said.
The National Weather Service in Kansas City had just one word for the five-day forecast during the work week: “Nice.”
