More rain expected in Kansas City before warmer weather arrives over the weekend

After two days that felt “more like the middle part of November,” rain is expected to stay in the Kansas City area Friday and Saturday, said FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria in a weather update for The Star.

Rain, Lauria said, will move into the southeast part of the area Thursday night into Friday and persist for much of Friday morning.

Throughout the day, Friday, Lauria said he expects colder temperatures and consistent cloud cover. The temperature is not expected to rise above 62 degrees.

After Friday, Lauria said, things should start to clear out.

There is a chance of rain between 4 and 9 p.m. on Saturday, Lauria said.

After Saturday, temperatures are expected to rise back into the 70s and 80s for the work week.
