‘Really nice around here’: Highs in mid-80s to continue this week in Kansas City
Weather in Kansas City is going to continue to be pleasant for August with lower than normal highs, said FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
“It’s going to be really nice around here for the next about five days or so before temperatures start to warm up towards the end of the week,” said Lauria, who provided The Star with a weather update.
Typically at this time of the year, temperatures reach the 85 to 90 degree range.
Tuesday’s high is 81.
“That’s pretty darn good,” Lauria said. “And with the humidity levels being low for the foreseeable future, we’re not expecting much in the way of moisture through the next seven days.”
The high on Wednesday is 82, Thursday is 85 and Friday is 86.
“Then we’re somewhere in the mid to upper 80s into the weekend,” Lauria said. “Right now though, I don’t see any 90 degree weather coming towards Kansas City — very unusual for the month of August.”
