Kansas City weather could become ‘more bearable’ over weekend after hot, humid Friday
Hot, humid weather is expected in the Kansas City area on Friday but a reprieve may be in store over the weekend.
“It’s looking like summer out there, it’s feeling like summer out there and it’s going to really feel like summer tomorrow,” said FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria in a weather update for The Star.
Temperatures Friday will sit in the high 80s, Lauria predicted. Humidity, however, will make it feel closer to 95 degrees outside.
After Friday, Lauria said, “things are going to change.”
A cold front is expected to move through the Kansas City area Friday night into Saturday, he said.
With it, lower temperatures and drier weather will be ushered in.
There is a slight chance for rain before 9 or 10 a.m. Saturday, Lauria said. After that, he expects very little precipitation for the rest of the week.
High temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will likely sit in the mid 80s, Lauria said.
During the work week those temperatures are expected to drop to the low 80s and high 70s.
“It’s going to feel a little bit more bearable out there,” Lauria said.
