Hot, humid weather forecast for KC, with slim chances of rain through the week

Kansas City can expect to see hot, humid weather with only slim chances for rain through most of the week, according to FOX4 meteorologist Garry Frank.

“Well, it’s still humid,” Frank, who provides weather updates to The Star, said Sunday as he gauged the humidity as “muggy” or even “sultry.”

“That won’t change,” he said. “It’s just not going to change the rest of the week.”

Hot temperatures and high humidity will remain in the Kansas City area for the next several days, Frank said, with the best chance for rain overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. But in general, the afternoons should be hot and without rain.

The Sunday forecast showed a chance for rain in some parts of the metro and a high temperature of 92.

High temperatures are forecast Monday at 93, Tuesday at 92 and Wednesday at 94. Each day shows about a 20 percent chance of rain.

Thursday’s high temperature is expected to be 88 degrees, with a slightly higher chance of rain.

Temperatures on Friday and Saturday are forecast to top out at 89 and 90 degrees, respectively.
