Highs in the 90s to continue this week in KC with chances for rain this weekend
Warm temperatures are here to stay this week with highs continuing in the 90s, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
Tuesday’s high is 91.
“Another day tomorrow much like today, which has really been much like the last several days — temperatures around 90,” Lauria said in a weather update for The Star. “There could be a few isolated pop ups tomorrow afternoon just as we build up the heat after about maybe 3 or 4 o’clock in the afternoon. The activity tomorrow should be isolated.”
The chance for rain increases going into the weekend.
Opportunities for rain will arrive Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“Hopefully we’ll get something out of this because things are getting very, very dry,” Lauria said.
The Kansas City area can expect one-quarter to three-quarters of an inch with more precipitation in areas north of the city.
Wednesday’s high is 92, Thursday’s high is 94 and Friday’s is 90.
