Don’t expect much relief from the heat outside the shade. Sunday is expected to be a still day, with the wind blowing about 5 miles per hour.

The next four days will be mostly sunny, with highs around 93 degrees and overnight lows around 70, according to the weather service.

“You have to admit for the middle of June, it sure is a lovely August!” the National Weather Service in Kansas City tweeted Saturday of the consistent heat in the forecast.

A slight chance of rain returns Thursday evening and continues into Friday and Saturday, though the temperatures will likely remain in the low 90s and upper 80s.
