Warm weather in forecast for Kansas City this week as skies clear
After days of weather forecasts warning of rain and thunderstorms, clearer skies are moving into the Kansas City area.
Sunday begins a six-day streak of anticipated warm temperatures and mostly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.
Sunday morning’s overcast skies will clear up later in the day as the high hangs in the low 70s. Wind gusts could be up to 25 miles per hour.
Monday through Friday will see alternating sun and clouds as the temperatures steadily increase. Monday’s high of 67 is the coolest anticipated day this week. Friday could be the warmest, with the thermometer reaching into the low 80s.
The overnight lows will hover in the 50s all week.
The chance of rain and storms returns Friday evening and Saturday, according to the weather service.
