Storms aren’t done with Kansas City; first part of weekend will likely be soggy
The metro area isn’t out of the woods yet when it comes to the rain — thunderstorms return Friday night and continue into Saturday, making the first part of the weekend soggy, said FOX4 meteorologist Karli Ritter.
“Later on today we will have highs in the 70s,” said Ritter, who provides weather updates to The Star. “We also will still have a chance for rain and thunderstorms, but the bulk of the activity this morning is now to our south.”
Storms, however, are expected to redevelop later this afternoon and evening. The chances for rain increases overnight, likely making the first part of the weekend soggy in the metro, Ritter said.
“It will still be warm with mid-70s expected,” Ritter said. “Then we briefly cool down before we turn the corner and see some really nice spring-like conditions for next week.”
