More rain, wind expected in Kansas City area Wednesday, then clear skies until Sunday
A chance for rain Wednesday morning will make for warmer temperatures and clearer skies through the end of the week, said FOX4 meteorologist Karli Ritter.
“It is going to be windy later on today, and as we go through the day we’re also going to see some cloud cover, some showers, especially for the first half of the day, and then we’ll settle into a little bit cooler-than-average forecast this afternoon,” said Ritter, who provides weather updates to The Star.
The best chance of rain lasts until about 11 a.m. with the skies clearing up mid-day, she said, adding that pollen and mold counts Wednesday are “through the roof.”

MOREHow we did this story
The Star produced this weather update in partnership with the local FOX4 television station. The station’s meteorologists create forecast videos multiple times a day for the newspaper to include in its weather reports.
“Long range forecast gets a whole lot better,” Ritter said. “The rest of the week looks drier and warmer and we hold off rain until on Sunday.”
Wednesday’s high is 66 and overnight low is 43. This week’s temperatures will peak on Saturday, reaching up to 82 degrees before dropping to a high of 70 on Sunday.
