Tuesday to be sunnier in Kansas City, but cooler air descends by end of the week

Overcast skies over Kansas City should give way to more sunshine Tuesday, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

Tuesday’s high is 55.

“There could be just a few little showers developing tomorrow night, especially on the south side of Kansas City, into the wee hours of Wednesday morning,” said Lauria, who provided The Star with a weather update.

Temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday are expected to hit the mid-to-upper 60s.

Cooler air will come through on Friday.

“Initially rain moves in Friday night,” Lauria said. “There is a question though about how much cold air will be around because we could see that rain possibly mix with some snowflakes or change over to some snow.”

Weekend highs will be in the 30s and 40s.

“This coming weekend will not be nearly as nice as the weather we’ve enjoyed over the last couple of weekends,” Lauria said.
