Warmer weather expected in Kansas City Saturday before rain returns Sunday night
Temperatures will make the area feel nearly springlike Saturday afternoon before cold weather returns, bringing with it rain and snow chances.
By 4 p.m. Saturday it is expected to be 58 degrees in the Kansas City area said FOX4 meteorologist Alex Countee in a weather update for The Star.
That warm weather is expected to stick around throughout the morning Sunday, Countee said, but rain will move into the area around 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. that evening.
On Monday, he said, there is a 100% chance of precipitation and temperatures aren’t expected to climb above 37 degrees.
“It’s going to be kind of a nasty day (Monday),” said FOX4 Meteorologist Garry Frank in a weather update for The Star.
The precipitation is expected to be a wintry mix Monday and more snow and rain may arrive on Tuesday afternoon, Frank said.
“We’ll monitor Tuesday into Wednesday as temperatures hover around the freezing mark,” he said. “I think that’s where some issues may lie. And then we’ll start to see conditions improve toward the end of the week.”
