Forecast calls for colder weather in Kansas City this week

Chances for rain in the Kansas City area will fade after lunchtime Monday, and the weather will turn cold tonight, according to FOX4 meteorologist Michelle Bogowith.

“Enjoy the mild temperatures while we have them,” said Bogowith, who provides weather updates to The Star. “We’ve got a strong cold front that moves in later on tonight.”

The colder air moving in will dissipate chances for rain. After a high temperature Monday of 55 degrees, temperatures may fall to 28 at night.

That will signal several days of colder weather in Kansas City, with a high temperature of 38 degrees Tuesday and a low of 20. Temperatures are forecast to stay in the 30s Wednesday and Thursday.

The weather is expected to warm up again toward the end of the week, with a high of 44 Friday and temperatures in the 50s over the weekend.
