Yet another round of snow will make its way to Kansas City starting Thursday evening
While Thursday’s high makes it above the freezing mark, another round of snow is expected to arrive Thursday evening and into Friday, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
One part of the storm system is moving through Iowa.
“But there’s a second part that’s dropping through Nebraska that will affect us as we head towards tomorrow and especially tomorrow evening in terms of another round of wintry weather,” said Lauria, who provided The Star with a weather update.
The Kansas City area could get a dusting to two inches of snow.
“I can’t rule out some accumulation to that snow, especially here in Kansas City and points eastward,” he said.
The National Weather Service in Kansas City said the round of snow starting Thursday evening could be heavy. It cautioned that driving conditions will continue to be hazardous through Friday morning.
Saturday’s forecast is mostly cloudy with a high of 34.
“Sunday is partly cloudy, hopefully in the upper 30s,” Lauria said. “And then we’re heading into the 40s I think on Monday with more sunshine.”
