Kansas City to see above-normal temperatures this week, but a cold front is coming
Above-normal temperatures will continue for most of this week in the Kansas City area, but a cold front is expected Friday, according to FOX4 meteorologist Alex Countee.
Sunday should see a high of 49 degrees by 2 p.m., said Countee, who provided a weather update to The Star.
“We’re going to see sunshine along with a little bit of some breezy winds,” he said.
Sunday evening will cool down into the low 40s.
Monday and Tuesday will also see highs in the mid-to-upper 40s. The temperatures will increase into the 50s on Wednesday and Thursday.
“Temperatures, as far as the highs go, are staying above normal,” Countee said.
Scattered rain showers will also arrive Thursday, followed by a cold front Friday.
“On the backside though, we’re really cooling down Friday. Into next weekend, mid-30s is what we can expect,” Countee said.
