Snow expected to start in KC area during Sunday Chiefs game, and may continue Monday
Kansas City can expect a very cold Sunday with a possibility of snow, according to FOX4 meteorologist Michelle Bogowith.
Sunday, when the Kansas City Chiefs play the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium, will start with temperatures around 22 degrees in the morning, said Bogowith, who provides weather updates to The Star.
At the noon kickoff time temperatures may be only 27 degrees, before eventually reaching 32 degrees in the second half.
There will be a possibility of light snow toward the end of the game and continuing that night, Bogowith said.
Before that, Kansas City will enjoy warmer weather heading toward the weekend.
Temperatures will reach 45 degrees Wednesday, 50 degrees Thursday and 51 degrees Friday.
Wednesday and Thursday night will be colder, dipping to 35 degrees.
Skies will get more cloudy Thursday and Friday. Some light snow may enter the region overnight Friday and early Saturday, but skies will likely clear Saturday.
The snow expected Sunday evening may continue into Monday morning, Bogowith said, and will likely wind down Monday evening.
