Rain to continue Friday, with warmer weather on the way this weekend

Rain is expected to continue Friday and overnight into Saturday, but temperatures will not get cold enough for widespread ice, according to FOX4 meteorologist Garry Frank.

“We are dealing with a little bit of rain as we head into the weekend. We have cooler conditions but they will stay above freezing,” said Frank, who provides a weather update to The Star.

Cooler conditions are in store for early Saturday but the weather will get warmer during the day.

“Notice, our temperatures are going to come up a few degrees overnight so we are not going to be dealing with any freezing,” Frank said.

“I expect it to warm up nicely Saturday before we see that front move through Saturday night into Sunday.”

The high on Saturday will reach 61 degrees with strong winds reaching 35 mph.
