At least one dead after crash in Kansas City’s downtown loop

At least one person died Sunday morning in a crash in Kansas City’s downtown loop, police say.
Sgt. Phil DiMartino, Kansas City Police Department spokesperson, confirmed that a fatal crash occurred at eastbound I-670 near 71 Highway Sunday morning.
As of 9:15 a.m., KC Scout cameras show no traffic delays in the area.
DiMartino wrote in an email that KCPD plans to send a press release with details of the crash once investigators leave the scene.
