Part of Interstate 70 closes in Kansas City Monday for urgent bridge repair
Several lanes in one section of Interstate 70 were closed Monday while crews do an urgent repair to a loose plate at a bridge joint in Kansas City, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
Crews closed two lanes of Interstate 70 just west of Interstate 435 starting at 3 p.m.
Construction is expected to last through the evening hours.
MoDOT encouraged drivers to slow down and pay attention in work zones.
