Guy Fieri to open new restaurant in Branson — perhaps in time for your summer vacation

Branson fans, celebrity chef Guy Fieri is cooking up a new restaurant for your dining pleasure.

On Tuesday, FACE Amusement Group announced the company had partnered with the “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” host to open Guy Fieri’s Branson Kitchen + Bar at the Branson Landing outdoor entertainment complex, according to a news release.

The Branson Landing runs along the waterfront of Lake Taneycomo in Branson, Missouri, and plays host to more than 100 shops and restaurants.

The 8,000-square-foot Branson Kitchen + Bar — slated to open summer 2020 — will serve lunch and dinner and feature Fieri-developed dishes like his famous Trash Can Nachos, Bacon Mac n Cheese Burger and Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ Wings, the release says.

The restaurant will also serve a number of sandwiches, smoked meats and desserts along with craft beers and cocktails.

Branson Kitchen + Bar will feature views of Lake Taneycomo along with indoor and outdoor seating, the release says.

“I’m all about great food, good times and big fun,” Fieri said in the release.

Branson is nestled in the Ozark Mountains of southwest Missouri and is home to the frontier-themed Silver Dollar City amusement park and more than 50 theaters featuring music, comedy and variety shows, according to Branson.com. The city sees more than 7 million visitors a year, the Branson Tourism Center says.

Branson Kitchen + Bar isn’t Fieri’s first foray into Missouri’s culinary scene.

Earlier this year, he opened Guy Fieri’s Dive & Taco Joint in downtown Kansas City, the Kansas City Star reported.

That restaurant — located in the city’s Power and Light district — features an “American roadhouse” decor and offers a smattering of Mexican cuisine-inspired dishes like nacho-crusted chicken torta sliders and carne asada fries, the Star reported.
