All of Kansas’ absentee ballots are finally in, and unofficial results show heavy support for former President Donald Trump in the vast majority of counties in the state.
The Trump/Vance presidential ticket prevailed with 57.2% of the popular vote in Kansas, earning them the state’s six Electoral College votes.
But the Republicans didn’t fare well in the Kansas City area: Johnson, Wyandotte and Douglas counties all supported the Democratic ticket of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

Two Kansas counties saw very close presidential races. Voters in Shawnee County, which contains Topeka, and Riley County, which contains Manhattan, cast slightly more votes for the Harris/Walz ticket — but neither presidential nominee received more than 50% of the vote.
In Shawnee County, the Democratic ticket won by 349 votes, according to unofficial results. In Riley County, they won by just 312 votes.
The remaining 100 counties in Kansas all supported Trump/Vance by more than 50%. Sedgwick County, which contains Wichita, cast 56.2% of its votes for the Republican nominees. Lyon County, which contains Emporia, voted for them by around 56.4%.
The county with the strongest support for the Trump/Vance ticket was tiny Wallace County on Kansas’ western border. The Harris/Walz ticket received only 50 votes in this county, while Trump/Vance received 661 — a whopping 91.7% of the votes cast.
Rural Sheridan and Ness counties in western Kansas also cast a huge majority of their presidential votes for the Republicans at 89.6% and 88.2% respectively.
