Shots were fired as a man flipped cars and damaged property during a rampage at a family fun park in Kentucky, police told news outlets.

The incident happened Saturday, Aug. 23, at Treasure Trove Park in Cave City, WHAS reported, citing Cave City police.

The man in the skid steer, identified as 76-year-old Roy Spiker, was upset over an ongoing civil dispute that “got out of hand,” Police Chief Paul Reynolds told the station.

Treasure Trove Park’s CEO, Michael Barrick, told WKBO that Spiker is a co-owner of the park and he disagreed with “some of the views and values of the company and became disgruntled.”

Spiker stole a skid steer and used it to flip over several vehicles, destroy fencing at the park’s animal sanctuary, the outlet reported. Barrick told the outlet he estimates Spiker caused roughly $750,000 in damage.

At one point, Spiker drove the construction vehicle toward a home on the property, and the homeowner — believing Spiker intended to drive into the building — opened fire on him, police told WCLU. No one was seriously injured during the incident, according to police.

Spiker was arrested on charges including wanton endangerment and criminal mischief, WKBO reported.
