Man who needed a walker is strangled to death by girlfriend during fight, MO cops say
A man was found dead in his St. Louis home the morning after he and his girlfriend were seen fighting, Missouri police said.
His Dec. 16 death was ruled a homicide after a medical examiner determined he was strangled, according to court documents. Now, his 52-year-old girlfriend is accused of killing him, a criminal complaint said.
Ganell Harley was charged with murder on March 12, according to court records. She’s being held in jail without bond.
Her attorney information was not listed.
The probable cause statement said the man had mobility issues and needed a walker.
Witnesses saw the couple arguing the night before the boyfriend was found dead on Dec. 17, according to police. Early the next morning, Harley told someone that she was emotional and choked her boyfriend, according to the probable cause statement.
She told the witness she “messed up,” according to court documents.
Harley appeared in court on March 13.
