A 29-year-old remembered for having “no kind of enemies,” according to a friend, was found shot and killed inside the liquor store where she worked, Texas police and KTRK.

A co-worker found Darrell Lynn Tikisha King with multiple gunshot wounds inside of the Houston liquor store on Nov 12, according to police and KHOU.

Paramedics pronounced King dead at the scene, police said.

The following day, King’s ex-boyfriend, 39-year-old Michael Dewayne Wilkerson, was identified as the potential shooter, police said in a Nov. 14 news release.

He was arrested and charged with murder and tampering with evidence.

Attorney information for Wilkerson was not listed. He’s held in jail without bond, according to court records.

“She didn’t want to be with him,” her friend Destiny Bradley told KTRK. “She had someone else she was with, so she didn’t want to be with him. She just told him she didn’t want to be in a relationship with him.”

Police did not disclose what led up to the shooting.
