Lucky casino player from Texas spends $3 on slot machine and hits jackpot in Las Vegas

An out-of-state visitor stopped at a downtown Las Vegas casino for the first time and won a jackpot prize.

Now, the tourist is $2,141.18 richer.

The player from Houston, Texas, put a $3 bet into a Huff n’ Even More Puff slot machine at the El Cortez Hotel & Casino on Fremont Street, the hotel said in an Aug. 7 Facebook post.

He played the game until a message flashed on his screen saying he had hit the jackpot.

The told a casino worker he was staying at The Venetian at the time of his win.

But he wasn’t the only person who had some luck at the casino.

Another player won a $16,657.79 jackpot off an 88-cent bet on Aug. 1, according to the hotel.

She was playing a Big Hot Flaming Pots slot machine.
