It’s not unheard of for unusual places to be transformed into living quarters from water towers to silos to everything in between.

But only some of them measure up to the coolness that is this former Gothic church that is now a five-bedroom, six-bathroom house in Cincinnati, Ohio, that’s listed for $1.64 million. And yes, the interior is just as fabulous as the exterior with its modern chic decor.

Built in 1900, the home still has the face of a church with stunning stained glass windows and a dark gray exterior, but the inside stands apart thanks to its vivid transformation.

“Extraordinary church-turned-home, offering private oasis in the heart of the city!” the listing on Zillow.com says. “Awe-inspiring interior that is inviting & breathtaking with ample space for comfortable living plus entertaining. Meticulous yard w/potential parking lot. Own a piece of Cincinnati’s history in walking distance to Findlay Market, TQL Stadium and other downtown areas.”

Features of the 9,756-square-foot residence, based on the real estate photos, include:

  • High ceilings

  • Dazzling and vivid paint

  • Dramatic kitchen

  • Massive doorways

  • Organ

  • Loft (currently a game room)

  • Laundry room

The home was featured on Zillow Gone Wild, a Facebook page and Twitter account that highlights unique houses all over the globe .

“I absolutely love this! It’s so tastefully done. And I love love love black wall paint, it’s so classy!” another expressed.

“In love with everything about this!” someone commented.

“Beautifully done. Tasteful and classy throughout. And I was never one for yellow walls, but this all works perfectly,” one person said.

The indoor corn hole setup is the most Ohio thing I’ve ever seen in a real estate listing,” another wrote on Twitter.
