School bus caught in crossfire during shootout between people in 2 cars, Ohio cops say
Bullets struck a school bus carrying students Thursday afternoon after getting caught in the middle of a shootout between people in two vehicles on a Columbus, Ohio roadway, outlets report.
According to Columbus police, three high school students and the driver were on board during the 3:40 p.m. shooting, WCMH reported. None of them were injured.
As people in two vehicles exchanged gunfire along East 17th Avenue and Brentnell Road, the school bus was hit twice, in a tire, and in the back bumper, WBNS reported.
Several other vehicles and homes were also hit by stray rounds, but missed any bystanders in the area, WSYX reported.
Police are still investigating the incident. It isn’t clear who the people shooting were, or why they opened fire on each other.
