A doctor is facing criminal charges after allegedly spiking his girlfriend’s tea with an abortion drug against her will.

Sikander Imran, a 32-year-old from Virginia, responded to learning that girlfriend Brook Fiske was pregnant by trying to convince her to have an abortion, Fiske told WROC.

After she declined, the two made plans to meet at Imran’s Arlington home to discuss their future.

At the time, she was about 17 weeks along.

But unbeknownst to Fiske, the tea he served her had been spiked with a large dose of Misoprostol, she said.

The labor-inducing drug resulted in her losing her fetus.

“According to the nurse at the hospital, it’s 200 milligrams to induce labor. So he gave me 800,” she told WROC.

Fiske said Imran began to cry after she had finished drinking the tea.

At the bottom of her cup, she noticed a gritty substance.

“I could tell that it was a pill that had been ground up,” she said.

Imran was charged in May with the crime of “cause of abortion and premeditated killing of a fetus of another,” according to Fox News. Fiske said she’s felt empowered by facing him in court.

The man’s trial was scheduled to begin this week but has been moved to March due to additional charges.
