are making their pitches to the Republican convention site selection committee today in Washington.
and four other cities have already made their cases.
This week,Mayor Sly James
said it was possible the GOP would narrow its list of possible convention cities sometime next week, and then schedule site visits. But it isn’t clear if the Republicans plan to narrow the list at all, and if they do, when that process might take place.
James said he would be shocked if Kansas City doesn’t get at least a site visit.
It also isn’t known when the committee will make its final selection.
Somebody thinks the city has a shot.
