Man found shot to death in parking lot in northeast Kansas City, Kan.

Police were investigating the fatal shooting of a man in his mid-30s Monday evening in northeast Kansas City, Kan.

Police responding to reports of a shooting about 6:20 p.m. found the man’s body in a parking lot. His identity was not being released until police could notify his relatives.

This is the 20th homicide in Kansas City, Kan., this year and the 90th homicide the Kansas City area has seen in 2016.
