Kansas City police sought the public’s help Wednesday in searching for a suspect vehicle connected to a homicide Sunday in the 8700 block of East 63rd Street.

Jacob Brantner, 39, was shot and killed about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of a shopping center. Police are looking for a blue Ford Five Hundred with a sunroof that investigators believed was involved in the shooting.

A Kansas City police officer working off-duty heard the gunshots and found Brantner. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
