One person dies in a double shooting in Kansas City
One person died and a second one suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a double shooting Monday evening in Kansas City.
Officers responding to reports of the shooting in the 3200 block of South Benton Street shortly after 6:30 p.m. found two victims with gunshot wounds.
Emergency workers with the Kansas City Fire Department rushed the victims to the hospital, where one victim died.

This is the Kansas City area’s 41st homicide of the year.
