A Friday shooting on Interstate 70 is being investigated as a homicide, Kansas City, Kan., police said Saturday.

Gunfire injured two male teenagers shortly after 5 p.m. Friday on I-70 near Seventh Street Trafficway. They were riding in a Camaro.

Deonta C. Jones, 22, of Kansas City, Kan., was in critical condition Friday but later died, police said.

On Saturday, Kansas City, Kan., police chief Terry Zeigler tweeted photos of a Maroon GMC Envoy sought by officials. It is the ninth homicide in Kansas City, Kan., this year.
